Our Tree Felling Process
Every job follows a planned approach to control risk and keep the work accurate.
Site Evaluation
We check the tree’s size, lean, and surroundings to identify a safe fall zone.
Risk Planning
Nearby structures, slopes, and obstacles are assessed before we decide on a fall direction.
Precision Cutting
Directional cuts give us a controlled fall while keeping everyone on-site protected.
Controlled Drop
We guide the tree down carefully to avoid impact damage to your property.
Cleanup Work
All debris and leftover material are removed so the area is ready for its next use.
Advanced Stump Grinding
This cityās mix of mature neighborhoods, open lots, and storm activity creates real tree risks. Johnson County properties deal with conditions that make proper cutting a regular need.
Large, established trees in areas like Canyon Creek need controlled felling.
Heavy storms leave trees weakened, damaged, or dangerously leaning.
Heavy rain destabilizes roots, making trees a risk to nearby structures.
Slopes near Black Hoof Park increase the risk of uncontrolled falls.
Areas like Falcon Ridge are well-suited for safe, planned tree work.

They did nothing to protect the grass is my backyard. While cutting down the tree across the street from us they knocked branches on my tree and said nothing to me.Posted on Google![]()

I was planning to cut down a diseased chanticleer pear tree in my backyard, and needed the stump ground and removed and the branches and debris hauled off. I called Midwest and one other company. The other company never returned my call, but Midwest got back to me right away. I sent pictures, and their bid was very reasonable, in line with my expectations, so I agreed. I asked when they could do the work, and they said, "Today or tomorrow morning." I replied that I hadn't cut down the tree yet, and asked how much extra that would cost. When they told me, I couldn't believe it - I went ahead and had them remove the tree as well. They came out the next morning with a full crew. The supervisor also recommended trimming the river birch in our front yard, which we knew was needed, so they did that as well - also for a reasonable price. They were done in a few hours, did a thorough job, and left the yard clean. I highly recommend them.Posted on Google![]()

These guys are terrific! the whole team communicated very well! It was seemless, estimator came out, sent a quote, I approved the quote on line, they immediately sent an email with date & time they were coming and showed up at set time, with the business owner to go over project. Great service at a great price. Had them come out to do some brush cleanup initially, and had two trees removed on top of that for I price I didn't think possible. They were out two days after my quote and did a great job with the removals and cleanup. Will definitely use them again.
In Lenexa, cutting a tree costs between $300 to $3,000+, depending on tree size, access, and manpower needed. Large shade trees or steep terrain can push costs higher. We provide a free written estimate so you know the price.
You generally don’t need a permit to remove a tree on your private property here. However, trees in the public right-of-way require city approval before any work is done. We can help you identify what applies to your property and advise accordingly.
Late fall through late winter (November to March) is the best window for tree felling in Kansas. Trees are dormant during this period, which reduces stress and lowers the risk of disease spread. That said, hazardous or storm-damaged trees should be addressed right away, regardless of the season.
Yes, we do. Storm damage can leave trees unstable, with broken limbs or compromised roots that pose a real risk to your property. Our team responds to storm-damaged trees across Johnson County with a focus on controlled removal.
Cutting is the best option when the tree is dead, diseased, structurally unsound, or too close to your home or power lines. In some cases, pruning or other care can extend a tree’s life. But when the risk is too great, removal is the safer choice. We assess the situation and recommend what makes sense for your property.
