Midwest Tree did a fantastic job removing 5 trees. Three had electric line in them. Three of the trees were very large and leaning over fences. They got the job done on time and were reasonable Priced. They were very professional and courteous. I would recommend them to anyone who needs tree removal.Posted on Google![]()

UPDATE 9/30/26: Midwest Tree has responded and disputes our understanding of the agreement, so I am updating this review to clarify the facts and their position. Midwest Tree performed emergency tree work following the August 19 storm. Their field crew did good work, and I have never disputed that. Our concerns involve the billing, communication, delays, and a subsequent agreement concerning the remaining tree. The original emergency estimate was approximately $14,687. An additional estimate of $13,875 was later presented for a return visit. We signed the original paperwork around 1:00 p.m., but the crew did not return until approximately 8:00 p.m. and left around 11:00 p.m., requiring another visit. During the insurance process, our USAA adjuster explained that removing the tree from the dwelling and debris removal once it reached the ground were treated differently. We were told the ground debris portion was capped at $500. Midwest had submitted several thousand dollars in debris related charges that USAA did not fully allow. I later had a direct conversation with Mark, with his wife present, concerning the remaining tree and stump. My understanding was that if Midwest received payment for the emergency work, Midwest would remove the remaining tree and grind the stump at no additional cost. I specifically communicated Markās commitment to our USAA adjuster while working to resolve Midwestās invoice. USAA ultimately paid $17,930. We were subsequently notified that the funds cleared, were issued to the contractor, and the emergency invoice was considered paid in full and closed. Midwest now says Markās offer was contingent upon receiving the entire amount originally sought, including amounts USAA did not allow. That is not how the agreement was communicated to or understood by us. Midwestās own response acknowledges that the discussion about completing the remaining tree and stump at no additional charge occurred. The disagreement is about the condition attached to that commitment. After payment, we repeatedly requested a completion date because additional limbs were falling and restoration work was being delayed. After further communication on September 30, Mark provided potential dates of October 12 or 14 based upon crane availability. I am updating this review to accurately reflect both sides of the dispute. If Midwest completes the remaining tree removal and stump grinding as we understood was agreed, I will update the review again. My concerns remain with the billing process, communication, delays, and disagreement over the commitment regarding the remaining tree, not the quality of the field crewās emergency work.Posted on Google![]()

They did nothing to protect the grass is my backyard. While cutting down the tree across the street from us they knocked branches on my tree and said nothing to me.Posted on Google![]()

I was planning to cut down a diseased chanticleer pear tree in my backyard, and needed the stump ground and removed and the branches and debris hauled off. I called Midwest and one other company. The other company never returned my call, but Midwest got back to me right away. I sent pictures, and their bid was very reasonable, in line with my expectations, so I agreed. I asked when they could do the work, and they said, "Today or tomorrow morning." I replied that I hadn't cut down the tree yet, and asked how much extra that would cost. When they told me, I couldn't believe it - I went ahead and had them remove the tree as well. They came out the next morning with a full crew. The supervisor also recommended trimming the river birch in our front yard, which we knew was needed, so they did that as well - also for a reasonable price. They were done in a few hours, did a thorough job, and left the yard clean. I highly recommend them.
